Huge relief. Pardon me if you think I'm rude/arrogant/selfish or whatever you wanna call it. You're not appreciate what I have done, but I just don't think its necessary. I now you might not be reading this, but it is a reminder for me and for anyone who is reading this.

I just don't think that is necessary to get closer with you. And I still have the same thought until now. But anyways thanks again for having such a noble heart since you're my buddies .

If you can help someone, dont hesitate to go for it because you will never have an idea how meaningful is the help for them. Well I think the help I received which actually from Allah had made it a lot easier.

So the one that I should be thankful to is Him.

Not everyone can be a doctor, but everyone can get sick soon or later... Everyone can be sick person but not a patient if there's no doctor or responsible person to take care of them.

And one more thing that he said that i could remember,

"It is misfortunate to be a patient, but it's even shameful and pitiful to be a sick person without anyone willing to treat you..."

in other word, I would say,

sometimes, you could feel a bit stress,

to be scheduled and planned by your naqib or murobbi, here and there,

but be thankful because there is still somebody that love you so much,

always wants the best for you, and most important,

would sacrifice, his/her time, energy, family, money..

to bring you closer to the Deen of Allah Swt...

A Life of Submission

New Born Baby Boy my new nephew..Thanks to Allah s.w.t.. :D

When what you hold on to is strong, you too become strong, and with that strength comes the truest freedom. It is of that freedom that Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him.

By making the one without flaw, end, or weakness the only object of his worship, Ibn Taymiyyah described an escape from the prison of this life. He described a believer whose heart is free. It is a heart free of the shackles of servitude to this life and everything in it. It is a heart that understands that the only true tragedy is the compromise of tawheed (the doctrine of the Oneness of God), that the only insurmountable affliction is the worship of anyone or anything other than the One worthy of worship. It is a heart that understands that the only true prison is the prison of replacing something with God. Whether that object is one’s own desires, nafs (ego), wealth, job, spouse, children, or the love of one’s life, that false deity will entrap and enslave you if you make it ultimate. The pain of that bondage will be greater, deeper, and longer lasting than any other pain which could be inflicted by all the tragedies of this life.

The experience of Prophet Yunus `alayhi sallatu wa sallam (may Allah send his peace and blessings upon him) is so crucial to internalize. When he was trapped in the belly of the whale, he had only one way out: turning completely to Allah, realizing Allah’s oneness and his own human frailty. His du`a’ encapsulates this truth in such a profound way: “There is no God but You, glory be to You, I was wrong.” (Qur’an, 21:87)

Many of us are also trapped inside the belly of the whale of our own desires and objects of worship. It is our own selves which we become enslaved to. And that imprisonment is the result of putting anything where only God should be in our hearts. In so doing we create the worst and most painful of prisons; because while a worldly prison can only take away what is temporary and inherently imperfect, this spiritual prison takes away what is ultimate, unending and perfect: Allah and our relationship to Him.

Youth Defined : Hey Listen

Hello everyone!

You could be forgiven for thinking that Youth Defined: Shape Our Future’s break-out sessions were an iteration of the Performance Delivery and Management Unit’s (PEMANDU) series of labs. After all, they seemed to possess all the ingredients of one: healthy debates, piles of scrunched-up paper, tight deadlines, late nights and copious amounts of coffee.

But this is where the similarities end. Unlike their lab counterparts, the participants happen to be university students, fresh graduates and young professionals hailing from all parts of the country.

Spread out across 15 groups representing the National Key Results Areas (NKRA) and National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) selected by their peers at previous Youth Defined gatherings, participants launched into in-depth discussions on how Malaysia can march even closer to the targets of Vision 2020 and the assistance that they can contribute.

They are then required to present their ideas to an audience of some 500 of their peers. If this already sounded daunting to you, the various groups have the added impetus of having their reports personally read by the Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Najib Razak who will be gracing the closing dinner on the final day.

No wonder then, the gravity of the tasks at hand. One could feel the palpable sense of tension and excitement in the air as participants feverishly create solutions, conduct research, convince facilitators, cheer on groupmates, revise their work and rehearse presentations.

I hope everyone learnt a whole lot during the Workshop and the Summit. Its time we learn that we should take responsibility over complaints. But the work doesn't stop there. Now when you see a new government policy or have an idea that you want to voice out, discuss them out and run ideas with friends.

Remember, you, me, us, we make up to 12 million, and half of Malaysia! Our voice counts!

how come Allah swt created some people healthy and some not? some has big problems, rough days, some live easily? is Allah unjust??

Allah jawab dalam surah An-Nisa ayat 40.
40. Allah is never unjust in the least degree: If there is any good (done), He doubleth it, and giveth from His own presence a great reward.

this is a test! Allah test different people different way.
any calamity comes, it's either a test or a punishment.
and any good things come, it's also either a reward or a test for u.

and many times we human beings complain to Allah, why are u not answering my prayers?? but in fact Allah says u ask Me and I'll answer your prayer. but u're praying everyday and Allah is not answering.it sounds contradicting kan? we keep on praying but nothing happens. Allah says in surah al-Baqarah ayat 216,“Boleh jadi kamu membenci sesuatu, padahal ia amat baik bagimu, dan boleh jadi (pula) kamu menyukai sesuatu, padahal ia amat buruk bagimu; Allah mengetahui, sedang kamu tidak mengetahui.” so maybe by not answering, Allah is actually answering u. We dont know things that He knows. so we should never despair, trust Allah. He's there, always there for u.

that's why suicide is haram in Islam. Allah says in Surah an-Nisa, kill not yourself because Allah is most forgiving. the moment someone kills himself, it's as though he's ungrateful. in surah Baqarah again, Allah says, he shall not burden someone greater than what he can bear, and pray Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear.

in the 1st paragraph Allah has already promised that He wont give us burden that we cant bear, but why in 2nd paragraph he asks us to make doa to not lay burden more than we can bear?? because WE DIG UP OUR OWN GRAVE. WE LAY BURDEN GREATER THAN WHAT WE CAN BEAR. WE ARE THE CAUSE. so we make doa to ask Allah to make us not the cause to lay burden on ourselves greater than we can bear.

Its the Climb

“Inside myself is a place where I live all alone and that’s where you renew your springs that never dry up.

Last few days I had a conversation with one of my besties; about life. About living. There’s also a friend who moved out to a ‘new life’, away from others; to where she feels the contentment of not dealing with people’s various - behavior, frame of mind and belief. Well, there are times when we really need a huge space for ourself.

It’s not all the time that we want company, or listen to the noise of endless banter, or watch the chaotic human parade of other people’s lives. It’s vexing to the mind, is wearying to the heart, and tires the soul down. It leads to confusion and troubling vibrations in the air turning the world upside down. It’s startling how all these can touch your own sphere of life and leave you so drained by it all.

Sometimes.. I simply want to be alone; with my thoughts – thinking of the past and the things it has left me with – thinking of the present and how it’s forming my tomorrows – wondering what my tomorrows will be like or when I will be finally gone.

Sometimes.. I simply want to be – seeing my flaws, mistakes, imperfections – seeing how fragile and vulnerable I truly am – looking at my limitations, my borders, my walls – and yet understanding that I too have my own strengths, potential, and the power to dream. That everything there, good or bad, has shaped who I am.

That all that I was, is, and will be is the story of my life.

Life will nudge us to learn new things which hopefully might help bring us to our better selves and too ease our continuing journey down the road of life.

In contrast to that feeling of wanting to be alone, there are times when we feel that even if we are surrounded by other people in our lives, we are alone. We think that must go through this difficult journey called life by ourselves, no matter if we’re married or if we have children or close friends.

When we are young we are usually born within the heart of a family who in most instances will give you lots of love and security but there will come a day when you have to leave the warmth of this family and venture out into the outside world. You are then virtually on your own and despite the fact that you may be able to count on your family when you are in trouble, at the end of the day it at last all comes down to you and how you cope with the life that you have been given.

People are greedy, egoistic and non caring nowadays and this leads to many people feeling very lonely simply because others don’t care about them.

It would be so lovely if everyone could forget just for once about their race, their pride, their arrogance and just be a normal person who was willing to help another who was feeling frightened or lonely. It is not so much to ask for, it just requires very little from each one.

A little bit of interest and concern for the well being of another (e.g.are you doin okay?), who after all may be suffering the same fears as you yourself. And so at the end of the day a person who has gone through hard times herself will surely know how to understand and help another being who is going through the same difficult moment.

In this life, we can all decide to lead the whole of our lives on our own without reaching out to anyone else but.

What do you mean?

Yalah, macam baju, kalau beli di kedai , tentu takkan mengikut bentuk badan kita yang sebenar.

Tapi kalau di’tailor-made’kan, tentulah akan secocok dengan tubuh badan kita, sehingga menepati segala lekuk anggota kita.

Ujian Allah itu juga begitu.

Ia tailor-made untuk semua hamba-hambaNya.

Tidak ada seorang mendapat ujian yang sama.

Untuk apa ALlah beri kita semua ini? Begitu tanyaku pada seorang ukhtiku yang amat berhikmah.

‘ Kerana, ramai orang akan terkesan dengan tarbiyah peristiwa, yang Allah dah aturkan untuk dirinya. Lain orang, lain ujiannya, dan kesemua itu, Allah datangkan, untuk membaiki diri kita, menjadikan diri kita yang lebih baik dari sebelum ini’

Dia meneruskan:

‘ Allah, akan berterusan memberikan ujian, sehinggalah pada satu masa, hambaNya itu takkan dapat minta pertolongan pun dari manusia. Dan semua manusia takkan dapat menolong dia pun. Sehinggalah hambaNya itu akan hanya berpaling dan meminta pertolongan dari Dia sahaja.‘

Begitulah jirusan taujihatnya kepadaku.

Dan dia berbicara sambil mengenangkan juga ujian yang dihadapinya, walaupun tidak dikongsikannya kepadaku. Dan kami tahu, betapa ramainya lagi akhawat yang menanggung ujian yang bukan sedikit, semenjak berkenalan dengan bumi dakwah yang sebenar; bumi Malaysia.

‘ Sehinggakan Allah, mahu kita muhasabah balik diri kita, dan betulkan balik niat kita, setiap kali kita melangkah..’

Benarlah, ujian Allah, pada setiap seorang dari kita adalah tailor-made.

Engkau dan aku, ujian kita takkan sama.

Sebab Allah, nak mengkoreksikan kelemahan kita itu.

Selagi mana kita masih ada lagi kelemahan, ataupun terjebak dengan dosa-dosa, Allah akan datangkan ujian, yang menyingkapkan kelemahan kita. Agar kita kembali kepaada Dia, membetulkan diri kita, dan menjadikan diri kita, lebih baik dari semalam.

Selagi mana kita tak improve, selagi itu Allah akan uji pada titik kelemahan kita.

Subhnaallah.

Benarlah, rakan yang baik itu, memberikan kesan kepada diri kita. Alhamdulillah

When I Fall In Love

He destined me to encounter the video this morning while i was complaining about too much tests, obstacles and hardships in my life.

(maybe it is just a film, but it made me realised that life can always be seen in a different perspective, can always be viewed in a brighter side, inshaAllah)

He is just a child, yet he described things to be lovely and good all way through

Why can't we while we have Allah by our side?

Have you ever fall in love?? I know i did... Yes, i did....

The first time i was introduced back to Islam, i fell in love with all that was with it.... everything that came together with it, inshaAllah...

and He granted me with the feeling of loving somebody, inshaAllah for His sake, that my heart ached in the thought of being separated with that loved ones...

but.....

back in these few weeks time, again He taught me something so precious, that I hope, by His will, inshaAllah, I will remember forever in my life....

sometimes, loving means forgiving, like how our prophet Muhammad saw taught us...

sometimes, loving means accepting, like how Islam taught us...

sometimes, loving means wanting what is best for our loved ones... and become selfless like what the sahabah taught us...

and to love someone is to see that someone happy; in this life, and in the hereafter...

and sometimes, you are just not the one destined by Allah to be that somebody who fulfill all her rights, to be by her side, to make her smile... and if you truly love her, and wants what is best for her, you would let her go, to a better hand, to make her happy and to make up for all the things that you cannot give to her....

and......in these few weeks time, i learnt that, while i was saying i love somebody very much, the truth was, i didn't love her enough to be wanting what was the best for her....

instead, i just kept her with me to keep myself breathing...and in doing so, i didn't realized that i was hurting her, suffocating her...

yet, I thanked Allah for this precious lesson... for all the feelings that He had gave me...for all the memories that He had granted me with... and hopefully, in loving people in the future, i will not repeat the same mistake, again, inshaAllah...

Are they the same?

A robot who memorizes facts and a human endowed with a deep insight towards life.

Remember, knowledge is shaped by the civilization in which it comes from.

Rational inquiry. Detachment from religion. Heartless. Godless.

And all of this affects us as students.

I long for a time when knowledge brings forth with it what affects the heart of the believer.

When knowledge lights up our hearts and is projected through our actions.

Such Faith

Then she called out to him, "Has Allah ordered you to do so?"

He said, "yes"

She said, "Then He will not neglect us"

Subhanallah. Is she for real???

A fairly young mother who is still nursing her small child and out of blue, her husband left them in the middle of nowhere, with just a small supply of dates and water!

She is just a woman. Still breastfeeding her child. And her husband didn’t say exactly when he is coming back.

Is he coming back?

Ever?

How long will she be staying there? Who is going to take care of her? Is it safe to be out there on her own?

And what is it did she say again?

“Has Allah ordered you to do so?” “Then He will not neglect us”

Such confidence. Such FAITH.

Subhanallah!

Each one of us has been in what we can say as ‘The Siti Hajar Moment’. Those times when we are faced with difficult situation, or struggling to cope with something that seemed very heavy to bear… or when things went wrong, or things did not go as plan or basically anything, that puts us off the track.

Usual reaction was to get upset about it, which is human. As we see how Siti Hajar reacted initially, she questioned her husband repeatedly.

Why, why?

But the minute she realized that this is from Allah, and her husband confirmed it, her heart became firm and calm. Surely if Allah has willed for this to happen, then He will provide the way to get through this.

He will, no doubt, show them the way to handle this situation. He will help them cope with this. He will not leave them. He is with them.

However, this realization did not make her completely useless. Even though she is confident Allah will not leave them, she did not just sit there and wait for things to magically appear. Instead, she still worked hard to find a source for water. From one mountain (As Safa) to the other mountain (Al Marwa) she ran not just one round, but seven! If that is not hard work, I don’t know what is.

Indirectly she has provided us a general framework of how to deal when faced with all the ‘Siti Hajar Moments’ in our lives. To get upset and worried initially as a reaction is only human, but we have to then realize that if Allah has ordained for it to happen to us, then He will not leave it on our own. He will help and provide us somehow, maybe sometimes in ways that we don’t even realize. However, we still need to put in some effort as well ourselves, to balance our side of the equation.

So dear readers, the next time that we find ourselves in a difficult situation, remember the words of Hajar,

" Has Allah ordained for this to happen to me?

Well then, He will not neglect me. He will help me.”

I thank Allah for all His blessings. Alhamdulillah and i passed my final result exams for my final year. Thank you so much, jazakumullah khayr to everyone who made duaa for us. Allah knows and will definitely reward u for it, as my words are just not enough to express our gratitude :)

He give me a very meaningful advice regarding of the heart, "you must be strong inside (pointing at his heart), preserve your islamic values". Seriously, the best and most memorable! Thank you dear! ;)

I think.. I am falling in love with this jalan da'wa again n again n again and nothing makes me happier than to be under the shades of tarbiyyah! :)) Allah.. thabatkanlah.

Youth

They say the youth are the future of a nation, which is true considering the life cycle’s natural progression. It is not meant as a compliment for us, it is a responsibility. Regardless of being heard or not, it is also becoming more apparent that the voices of the youth are becoming louder by the day, regardless of whether its via web, social media or on the streets. We harp about our generation’s supposedly fresh ideas, we fight for our rights at every corner and we jump at every opportunity the world gives us.

We strive to follow the intelligence and the reach of Khairy Jamaluddin and Nik Nazmi, the vision of Wan Firdaus with Young Corporate Malaysians and Dzameer Dzulkifli and Keeran Sivarajah with Teach for Malaysia, and the entrepreneurial success of Khailee Ng and Joel Neoh with Groupon. Yes, they have achieved what some 50-year olds never even dream of but I think we dwell on their accomplishments too much. We ask others to listen to us as they would listen to these people and we get upset when they do not. At the risk of being scoffed by my peers, I say half of us do not even have half the capacity of our talented companions mentioned earlier, not just yet.

The truth of the matter is that they have gone through what most people have not, they have done what most people do not even think of and they were working on their dreams while the rest of us were in front of the screens playing Xbox or on Facebook (and some of us some still are). It begs the question, are we really mature enough, smart enough and competent enough to demand all sorts of things to be given to us on a silver platter?

Malaysia’s political atmosphere has provided youths an amazing environment for us to be heard and to be involved. Both sides of the political spectrum battle for our votes. In spite of the suspicions of their honesty, we should harness the trust, or at least the impression of trust, that is given to us.

When e-voting was introduced in some campus elections in Malaysia, there was a huge uproar over its reliability and accountability and how it is prone to manipulation. Fine, I don't know whether it was a perfect system or not, I am not going to start arguing about it. Anyway, when one side lost in a certain campus, they shouted “foul play”, but when the same side won in another campus, they shouted “the voices of democracy have been heard”. Is this the level of maturity that we are so proud of? And yet we blindly trust in them to be “fighting” for the rights of the youths.

Do not fret. There is still time and room for growth. There is time, for us to be millionaires. There is time for us to change the life of others. We are at a crossroads. This is the time for us to participate, develop and grow, most importantly grow. There is no harm to listen to the elders, as the Malay saying goes “mereka lebih dahulu makan garam”. We sometimes fail to acknowledge that some things cannot be taught. We sometimes get a bit overzealous of our own worldviews that we ignore the views of our elders who’ve seen it all. We sometimes shut our minds to opposing opinions from others. We grow by listening, learning and experimenting. We should participate, but not decide once-and-for-all. We should think, but not straight away accept. We should grow out of the illusion that we are always right.

After all, we are the future of the nation.

The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you - depending on how you respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how Allah wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring. Here are five ways how Allah uses the problems in your life:

1. Allah uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes Allah must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is the Almighty trying to get your attention? “Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways.”

2. Allah uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags…if you want to know what’s inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has Allah tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you? “When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience.”

3. Allah uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It’s likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove…. But you probably learned by being burnt. Sometimes we only learn the value of something… health, money, a relationship. .. by losing it. “It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws.”

4. Allah uses problems to PROTECT you. A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management’s actions were eventually discovered. “You intended to harm me, but Allah intended it for good…

5. Allah uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. Allah is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to Allah and your character are the only two things you’re going to take with you into eternity. “We can rejoice when we run into problems…they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust Allah more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.”

Here’s the point: Allah is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it’s much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him.

Success can be measured not only in achievements, but in lessons learned, lives touched and moments shared along the way

Forgivenss: the Glue for a Broken Heart

Smash.

‘What was that?!’

That was the sound of a once sound heart, shattering into a million pieces. Imagine you are the person carrying that heart: covered in pain and soaked in tears. Maybe you don’t have to imagine, because maybe that is your heart.

We are the broken-hearted.

Betrayal, oppression, deception, whatever it may be that happened to us—the result is the same, a broken heart at the hand of a human. A broken heart that feels like it can never be fixed, and it was entirely someone else’s fault. It would be enough if they had just hurt us, and all we had to do is deal with the pain that came from their actions, but no. Rather, the hurt, the pain, the brokenness…it brought out the worst in us, allowing us to see our own faults, and painful ones at that. How do we go on? How do we move on with life and shift our focus back to the One who deserves it? How do we stop obsessing over the wrongs that occurred and start focusing on the only One who should be obsessed over? One word: Forgiveness.

When a person is soaked in sin and wants to return to Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala (exalted is He), they begin with repentance. The person whole-heartedly turns to Allah, asking Him to forgive utterly and completely, even though the asker may not be deserving. Likewise, the path back to Allah (swt) after a severely broken heart, at the hand of a human, is forgiveness.

When it comes to forgiveness, the key is shifting how we see forgiveness. As always, Allah (swt) has given us a beautiful tool to make this shift, and that is the story of Prophet Yusuf `alayhi as-salaam (peace be upon him).

Of the many fruitful parts of the story of Prophet Yusuf (as), is that of his being wronged by the wife of his master. She attempted to seduce our beloved Prophet Yusuf (as). Not only did she attempt to seduce him, but she landed him in jail by blaming him of the unthinkable instead of taking the blame! IMAGINE! This is a woman whom, as the wife of his master, he was supposed to be able to trust. This was a woman whom he served during the day. Yet when her desires took over, she wronged him many times over!

Despite all of this, Prophet Yusuf (as) did not act wrongfully, nor did he hold a grudge. Why? Prophet Yusuf (as) knew the reality of forgiveness. When all was exposed and the truth revealed, Yusuf (as) made a revolutionary statement. He said: “I do not free myself from all blame. Truly, the nafs (base self) is inclined to evil, except for those who my Lord grants His Mercy. Truly, my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Allahu Akbar! (God is Greater!) A huge, humbling, life-changing lesson we can take from his statement is: You are not the oppressor in this situation only because Allah (swt) has blessed you with His Mercy. Every soul has the ability to wrong others, every soul has the ability to be the oppressor, and only Allah’s mercy prevents that.

The next time we begin to feel this immense and absolute anger towards the person who has harmed us—let’s make that shift, and forgive. Forgive the one who has wronged us not because that person deserves it; rather, forgive them as a sign of gratitude to Allah (swt). Forgive as a symbol of our thanking Him for blessing us to be of those who have never thought of hurting a person in the manner that we have had to endure. Forgive as a symbol of our thanking Him for making us the oppressed and not the oppressors. There is no sin in being the oppressed; rather, Allah tells us that He is with the one who has been wronged and is constantly answering their du`a’ (supplication). But what of the oppressor? They have the anger of Allah (swt) and the displeasure of Allah (swt). And realize that the one who has oppressed you has oppressed themselves more. For it is that person who will have to stand in front of Allah (swt) on the Day of Judgment and have their oppression accounted for, if they are not of those who have repented. So on that Day, they will be their own greatest victims.

Forgive as a statement that says, ‘Oh Allah I’m not forgiving them for their own sake, rather I am forgiving them as a sign of gratitude to You for steering me clear of those desires. I’m forgiving them out of my love for You. I’m forgiving them because I know You love it when a slave of Yours is merciful to others and I want to be of the ones that You love. My desires tell me to wish evil for them and to hold this grudge, but I put You over my own desire and I forgive them.’

Pray for those who hurt you. Pray for those who do not accept you. Love them for the sake of God. Pray that they realize their wrongs before they face their Lord. Pray that no one ever has to go through the same thing you did at the hands of this person. Love your oppressor for the sake of God, because love is the only emotion that is strong enough to penetrate a hardened heart, but know it will take time. Perhaps years, but you will be a better person because you chose to take the higher route:Forgiveness

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that you don’t take action if action is needed–rather it means that you dont wish ill for the person. Realize that no matter how large this sin was that this person committed, the have wronged themselves more than anyone else because they will have to stand before Allah on the day of Judgement when all secrets are exposed.

Know that when we harbor anger, really we are only hurting ourselves. Our anger eats us up inside and distracts us from some of the most important things in this life.

Forgiveness doesnt mean you return to normal activity with the person…nor does it mean that you ignore the situation completely. A muslim never gets stung from the same whole twice. Rather, it means turn to Allah, tell Him that you dont want to dwell on this anymore…you dont want to be angry at this person anymore…you want to learn to hate the sin not the sinner…because we know that when WE forgive the creation, Allah forgives us!

A tool that I have found to work is to make dua for the person that has wronged us, no matter how difficult that may be. Make dua that Allah allow them to realize how hurtful their actions were…make dua that they dont ever hurt anyone else in the same manner and make dua that Allah forgive them. It will be difficult at first, but when we fight our nafs and push against our own desires…we’ll see immense benefits.

well, i managed to write a few lines before i realized that i actually suck at writing poems -,-'' i guess i'd need a lot more practices before i ever posted it on the web. so i come up with this, the least i could do for a great friend like you, such an incomparable act to how special you are to me.

Redha comes with struggles

After 20 years of life, tasting both victory and failure, I find myself embracing the Redha concept like a best friend. From my understanding, redha is submitting oneself to God. From the earliest stage of my life, my parents instilled this concept firmly into us. As I grow older, I find this as a great source of strength.

I will explain why. Muslims believe that everything in life has been carefully planned by Allah, although this does not mean that there is only one prophecy or direction of life. There are still choices for people to make and each choice has its own consequence. This also means that doing nothing and just praying is not going to help achieve what we want as Allah clearly states that we have to work for things that we want. And if the results are not what you would want even after the struggle, Islam teaches us to be patient. It is because only Allah knows what is the best for us as we can never be sure what the past, presence, or future holds.

This means that we have to work hard for what we want to achieve. When we manage to get what we want it means that it is good for us and when we fail it means that there is something else in store for us that is better.

This is my greatest source of reassurance and strength, and I wish to share it with everybody else.

Loving one another for no earthly cause is a very rare commodity nowadays :( When that is found, you just wanna hold on to it & never let go.. However, it's hard at most times..

I've been learning new things recently from some real nice people & whenever that happens, I try to jot everything down in my heart so that I don't lose it.. I've never been much of a concentrating student as much as I've been counting on the heartfelt knowledge..

Anyways, the most amazing knowledge that successfully passes unto others always happens when:
1. The student really wants to leeeeeeearn!
2. The teacher really wants to teeeeeeeach!
3. When these two items take place, miracles come to life!

Small, vulnerable, and invisible.
In real life, this droplet, lying perfectly still on that little flower petal is extremely small.

It's not worth anything. Compared to everything around it, it's insignificant.

You might pass by it and not even notice it.

A very light breeze might knock it over, and send it flying everywhere. It has no value.
Yet, when I aimed my camera lens at it, and focused, something magical appeared.

Something that made my heart skip a beat, and my eyes sparkle in admiration.

I have this childhood story that i want to share with all ureaders..

Maybe u have heard of it, but still it brings me unexplainedfeelings of hopes whenever i remembered this one particular story…

Onebeautiful morning, a gardener is doing his work of mending, tending of hisbeautiful garden with lots of beautiful flowers, havens to the butterflies andbees. While he was working, he noticed that there is one cocoon on a leaf isshaking and he can see cracks on the cocoon surface. “Oh, the caterpillar isturning into a beautiful butterfly!” so he stood there watching one of themiracles of Allah unfold itself.

As he watches the young butterfly emerge slowly from itssleeping place, slowly, he can see clearly its head.. And a quarter of itsupper body… Slowly, and with lots of difficulties, he watched admiringly forthe butterfly’s determination.

After a while, it seems like the butterfly stop struggling inits effort to gain its freedom, to be able to fly after sleeping for so long..The gardener waited and waited, but to no avail, it seems like the butterflyhas given up. Now the gardener become worried, so he was thinking, ‘ i can cutopen the cocoon to release the butterfly, it will cause it no harm, ill begentle.’ seem pleased of being able to come up with a solution to help thebutterfly, he started cutting up the cocoon.

‘There u go, u are free to fly now’ he held the butterfly on thepalm of his hand. but the butterfly couldnt spread its wings open. It seemslike the wings was crippled.

So u see, even though the gardener were just trying to help, buthis actions cause the butterfly to become crippled through out his life, hewont be able to fly… It is because, by struggling to emerge from its cocoon,the blood will be pushed to the wings to enable it to fly.. Yup thatsscientific finding..

By struggling through the obstacles, Allah prepared thebutterfly to become stronger, that is just the same in our very own life. Haveu ever questioned Allah, why is it that i am the one been put to go throughthis unfair life? Hum i used to questioned that too..

But believe me, everything happened for a reason, damn well goodreasons.

And have faith that it all the hardships and obstacle that hasto be endevoured will make you stronger..InsyaAllah

I have this routine of occasionally raise my head and look at this one particular student in the batch, our best student. When I saw him writing with a profuse flow of ideas, extravagant memory and all, I went like,

“Sarah, you must work harder, think. Think.” But today, that just don’t work, because, I don’t even have something to write. You know, I am feeling very, very agitated. Was the paper being nonfulfilling or was it just me who are underachieving. Ya Allah, tolong saya!

May Allah ease our path, soothe the examiners, grant us excellent grades and bring us to the better state of understanding of the whole thing being asked just now.

The fairytales of Loves

I remember the day that I first fell in love. I was thirteen, and the film Grease was playing on TV. And there he was. Cool, trendy, good looking and ready to do anything for his girl. He was of course John Travolta, and I had no doubt that he would turn up on my doorstep and ask me to marry him. Things didn’t quite work out like that - he went on to become a scientologist, and I set off on my own quest for love.

The stories and legends we grow up with though, make it tough for reality to live up to those kind of epic romances. I thought back to the fairytales that I had grown up with; these were the stories which shape the ideas of our culture about love. Without even realising it, the innocent tales had whispered into my ears, and those of my peers, were simple words that influence the way that we see the world.

To find true love, I would have to be as beautiful as sleeping beauty, which meant that my prince had to be a strong testosterone fuelled hero who could chop down forests... which seemed a bit, well, neanderthal to me.

Or, to find true love, I’d also have to be as lovely and caring as Cinderella who was nice even to her wicked step sisters, but then I wasn’t sure I wanted to be with a prince who was so fickle that he could only recognise me when I was all dressed up. What! He needed a fancy designer shoe to identify that I was a real beauty inside and out?

And on both counts, I didn’t feel like I needed to be rescued or saved from household drudgery or from a century long snooze. I was - still am - a modern woman, who is quite capable of saving herself. But just because I can, doesn’t mean that I want to.

The thing is, I rather like the idea of having someone around - not from financial or social necessity, but to support, love and encourage each other. Love for completion, love for fulfilment. Love for spiritual wayfaring.

It might be fun to play at princes and princesses, but once you’ve taken away the pretty frocks, glass slippers and big castles, that’s when you know who both of you really are, and what you bring for each other. When you take away the wrapping paper and ribbon, is it still love?

It's worth remembering as we enter the wedding season: Love isn’t perfect or airbrushed, it can’t be. In fact, we should be strong enough to assert that love should not be so hideously plastic or saccharine. It is easy to love in the moments of beauty and happiness. The challenge for us is to still love when it is difficult, because I believe that is when love is at its most rewarding .

It is at that moment that our human essence fulfils its purpose to selflessly serve another. And at that very same time, despite our own imperfections, we are intimately recognised and cherished for our own essence.

Love takes time and perseverance, not just weeks or months, but years - even decades - through those clichéd good times and bad, the proverbial ups and downs. Love starts out as exciting, full of the heady rush of romance, and we must celebrate new couples and help them enjoy the phase of red roses and moonlit walks. Even those who have made it through the journey of life together, can share a moment of exquisite romance and the pure joy that it brings.

Collecting those early experiences in a memory bank can anchor the moments when love becomes hard work. A memory bank is love’s rainy-day-fund. A memory bank brings the rewards of the investment that all those who wish to love, and be loved, need to make. But those investments must be carefully selected, and cultivated with care and attention. Love is certainly the enjoyment of the rose, but it is also the pleasure of seeing the plant grow. And that, of course, takes time.

The moral of the story is...just think of the beauty you spread through just a little smile and purity of heart...the world would be a lot more at ease. I guess having braces helps with the whole smile as wide as you can...because sometimes if you stop half way you can actually hurt yourself.

if its even possible to grab it with my bare hands. i don't wanna let go.
it made me feel alive.it comforts me.it never stops pushing me forward.
it tells me bedtime story before i went to sleep.it kisses me goodnight. it helps me to sleep well every night
it pushes away any burden that comes around. or helps me cross the line of struggleness
it helps me to thank God when things goes well. or to feel redha when bad things passes by.
it leads my way. it gives me spirit. it gives me inspiration. it gives me mind-blowing ideas.

how to not to be not better

i have fallen into my own pool of mistakes. have you ever thought of being not good enough? not good enough for your life? not good enough for your peers? not good enough to the essence or notion of life around you? ever felt that life was cruel and fate was disobedient by the fact that you absolutely confident that you just did your best and you just did not get what you want? ever felt that you wanted to do better, although toughness keeps calling for future needs and you just can't go on? ever felt that you wanted to give up? ever felt that the life is so pathetic that you want to turn back around? well, heads up. pick your spot. spray the load. lay em off. spread the words. behave your mind. think your thoughts. the answer is simply jihad.

lets get the fact straight. with all of the posts that i have published. dear strangers, i just wanna say that, i am no religious person. i am no pious girl. i am no president or whatever. i am simply a human who spread the words that i know is right. but knowing is such different than that of the act of practising. there's a theodicy talk in my campus a while ago. its not the word of God or Evil that captured my attention. it was simply a question from an anonymous about , "is Jihad evil?". the speaker gave a very clear view on why the real jihad is, not whatsoever, evil. i was amazed, that as a matter of fact, i am a selfish, forgetful, and an ignorant person. people hear the word Jihad everyday. my fellow muslim peers know the very exact definition of Jihad. But the reality is, we, oh wait, I failed to use this very greatful tool to not to be not better, in life.

but still, confusion strucks my thought a while ago. the requirement to use this very tool is totally difficult. i mean, it starts for your ethics. from your daily practise. from the way you think or the way you act. and if that is logic and do-able, would we make that as our everyday norms? probably istiqamah is the hardest part, at least that what i think. when i say jihad, i am not talking about doing full time ibadah such as 'solat sunat', etc.; all the time. dont get me wrong. what do i mean is that; performing your everyday usual norms, in a far more, optimistically better way. when you soccer, shoot the ball as hard as you can. when you study, read more. when you jump, bounce it hard. when you walk, pace further away. there is more to life than just looking back. so, keep getting better okay? ;)

I was moved by a verse in the Qur'an that says that God "created you from a single soul." No left ribs, no second status. Men and women were from a single soul, equal in creation and worth.'

'Allah says that He created human to be known. To be known required someone or something to do the knowing.'

'Allah also says that He created human to be loved. To be loved requires someone or something to do the loving.'

'Human beings are the best of all creatures, and they exist to know and love the Divine.'

'We've been created for the very simple and single purpose; to love.'

I am not good in saying goodbyes. I hate goodbyes. Macam lagu Gareth Gates "...This is not goodbye~~ This is starting over~~~". So here goes. Thank you for everything. For the fun times. The good memories. The patience. The shoulder to cry on. The times you listen to all my rambling. The times you go along with my quirky actions *note:the butterfly on snow thingy*. And good luck for your future plans. You're a great person no matter how much you try to deny it. Banyak lagi nak cakap. Tapi public sangat. Nanti I'll write you an exclusive love letter. Teehee.

Playing my favorite songs in the middle of the night while waiting for Backstreet Boys to buffer. My favorite Friday night activities. Where you can curl up on the bed with a mug of steaming hot chocolate. Yumm.

And of course, everytime I play 'Back to December' in the middle of the night is the time I miss my family the most. :(

Basically, I am not much of a queen bee. Not cool and pretty enough to be one and not great enough to be surrounded by friends at all times. I am not much of a talker. So I find it hard to make friends sometimes. But when I do, I think the world of you.

But no matter how great your friends are, it never beats how important family is. No matter how great your friends' advices are, I still think your mom has the best advice. Ever. It can be annoying sometimes when she's being all pushy and looks like she's being judgmental and doesn't understand you at times. But later on, you'll be thanking her for nagging at you all this while. It's good if you have such great friends giving you great advices all the times. But what good will it gives if you didn't listen to your own mom. Righttt? For some, this might not be such a big issue to discuss. But being far away from home, surrounded only by your friends, you'll start to appreciate your family even more. I miss having someone making breakfast in the morning. I miss hearing my mom's snide remarks on my lack of house chores practices. And I even miss hearing both my sister and brother fighting over a remote control.

So, take note. Friends come and go. I think you notice it too. But your family will never walk away from you. And surely neither your mom. And your dad too of course.

This is a message for those who have given up a loved one for the sake of Allah (swt).
This is a message for us all.

When you give up something you love dearly for the sake of Allah (swt),
the Most Gracious, Most Merciful will indeed replace that which you have lost with something even better. something you can't even imagine. something so beautiful it makes you cry at the thought of how Generous our Lord is. Those who are patient will be rewarded, inshaAllah.

You need to trust Him. You need to put your faith in the One who created you, the One who put us through hardships knowing that we have the strength to bear it. If we weren't able to, He wouldn't let us suffer like that. Maybe you're going through a tough time right now but you need to be patient and have faith that He will provide for you. He will give you better. He will make you happy again. He will do that because He is so Merciful.

I want you to know what life is like after the hardship you go through. I want you to know what it feels like after being patient for so long. I want you to have HOPE. SubhanAllah I can't even describe how happy I am. Allah (swt) has replaced that which I have lost with someone amazingly beautiful. I never thought that I'd find him, but I did. I have him. And I never want to let him go. Letting go of that something in your life for the sake of Allah (swt) might be the hardest decision you'll ever have to make, but it will turn out to be the best decision ever, inshaAllah. We need to fear Allah (swt). We should be scared of His punishment but at the same time we should also know that He is so Merciful. He loves those who sin and repent to him. We are humans, we sin everyday...but we need to make sure that we repent and ask for His forgiveness before it's too late.

And when you do decide to let go, don't forget to breathe. Life will still continue. Life will still go on. You will be fine. You have yourself, you have your friends, you have your family, and most importantly, you have Allah (swt) who will provide for you, who will mend your broken heart. Trust me. And most importantly, trust The All-Mighty. He loves those who puts their trust in Him.

to help others , you would have to help your self first.

why I am still a Muslim despite all these struggles, I believe Allah has greater plans. If we compare our struggles with the people before us, maybe their struggles is even worst. I also believed that Allah makes it hard for me because He knows it is 'hard' for me to leave Islam.

I may not be one to advise you about this, since I am still 20 and single, what more that I am a complete stranger. But know this, I know that it is very hard for you and I am telling this out of my love for Allah and for His creation, you, and I also believe this is my effort to help you because I know how that felt.

Also, ask yourself this, do you sincerely believe that if you convert back things will change?

Things around us will just get more difficult and sometimes hard to bear but if we try to change the unchangeable, it will be much harder for us. So change something that you can change, that is, yourself. By yourself, I mean, your way of thinking. Try to change our mindset by thinking, "This will pass." everytime you are afflicted with tests.

It’s easy to look at people and make quick judgments about them, their present and their past, but you’d be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often then not, it’s lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul

Jujurnya melihat dukamu menempuhi ujian hidup ini, teramat meruntun hatiku. Melihat kerisauan dan gundah gelananya hidupmu mencari makna hidup yang tidak pasti, sering mengundang air mata di jiwaku. Perit mataku melihat penderitaanmu, sengsara lagi jasadmu menanggungnya.

Dan aku menyangka terkadang kata-kataku mampu mengubat jiwamu, namun kau katakan tidak. Dan aku berfikir bagaimana mampu aku dapat menenangkan dirimu dan membangkitkan semula semangatmu untuk hidup dan menghirup sinar harapan yang tak pernah malap pada kamus seorang mukmin. Namun, tersentap aku dikejutkan oleh jawapanmu:

‘ Awak tak rasa macam mana saya rasa. Awak tak boleh samakan semua orang seperti awak . Awak perlu letakkan diri awak di tempat saya, berada dalam kasut saya,barulah awak faham!’.

Sayu aku mendengarnya, bingung aku mencari jawapan. Sehingga tertekannya otakku sementara sehingga rehat sahaja mampu menguraikan kekusutan di kepala Dan akhirnya aku temui jawapannya.

Itulah dia memaknai makna sebuah taubat.

Kerana potensi besar seseorang mampu terhalang hanya kerana maksiat dan dosa yang ia lakukan kepada Allah. Semua orang mempunyai cita-cita dan obsesi. Begitu juga setiap orang mempunyai kelebihan dan potensi seorang manusia yang hebat.

AKU maksudkan SEMUA orang. |Semua orang mempunyai kelebihan dan potensi teramat besar. Termasuk diri kamu.

Namun, ramai orang juga terhambat dari menonjolkan potensi dirinya serta mengoptimakan potensi itu kerana semangat yang lemah, kerana kelalaian dan kerana meremehkan diri sendiri. Semuanya itu adalah kerana maksiat dan dosa yang ia lakukan. Perasaan berdosa ini seringkali meruak perasan putus asa yang akhirnya menjadikan diri kita amat lemah.

Rasulullah pernah bersabda: ‘ Sesungguhnya seorang hamba itu terhalang rezekinya kerana dosa yang ia lakukan ( HR Ahmad).

Dosa dan kesalahan seseorang itu mempunyai dimensi pengaruh yang amat besar dan mendalam yang dapat menghalang kebaikan itu datang kepada seseorang.

Kerana itu kita makin memahami bahawa dalam kita amat perlu dekat dengan Allah taala, dan ini tersimpul pada kalimat taubat, istighfar dan komitmen dengan perintah Allah.

Kerana itu jugalah, kita harus meluruskan dan memantapkan kefahaman kita akan erti sebuah taubat. Kerana kita betul-betul yakin bahawa taubat dan dekatnya kita dengan Allah itu adalah jalan mendapatkan kemenangan dan kesuksesan serta kemajuan seorang.

Ya, tentu kau terasa teramat turun (down) dengan keputusan peperiksaanmu, mahukan turun (down) setelah menempuh perjalanan peperiksaan yang tidak menentu hala tujumu selepas itu.

Namun, tiada jalan lain, melainkan dengan taubat, kerana Allah telah janjikan kemenangan , hanya bagi orang-orang yang bertaubat.

Di situlah sinar harapanmu kembali.

‘ Dan bertaubatlah kepada Allah wahai orang-orang beriman, agar kamu mendapat kemenangan ‘

( An-Nur: 31)

Apalagi kita mampu lakukan melainkan taubat? Kerana air mata serta keresahan jiwa tak mampu disurutkan dengan pengaduan dan escapisme melalui lagu mahupun movie atau perkara lainnya.

Kerana taubat sahajalah pintu harapan kita untuk meraih kemenangan.

Kerana itu taubat adalah satu amalan yang takkan dilupakan oleh para duat. Taubat itu bukan satu tradisi dan rutin harian tanpa makna. Ia juga bukan untuk orang yang banyak berdosa dan bermaksiat.

Tetapi taubat adalah amalan orang-orang yang salih untuk menggapai kemenangan dalam kehidupan mereka. Ia merupakan kunci sukses dalam semua aspek kehidupan kita. Bermula dari perancangan, hinggalah perlaksanaan, sehinggalah kepada natijahnya.

Dengan taubat inilah akan bermula lembaran baru dalam kehidupan dalam seseorang itu dan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Ia dapat memperbarui janjinya, semangatnya, dapat mengatasi segala masalahnya.

Taubat ini dapat mengukuhkan lagi obsesinya dalam kehidupan, serta menjadikan dirinya optimis dalam menggapai obsesi tersebut. Ia mendapat cahaya untuk bangkit setiap pagi untuk meneruskan kehidupannya. Ia menjadikan jiwa kita nyaman, tenang dan penuh redha. Dari ketenangan hati itulah akan menumbuhkan kekuatan fizikal, akhirnya menjadi mudah bagi seseorang itu berfikir dalam keadaan jiwa yang bersih, pemahaman yang murni dan cahaya bashirah.

Seseorang itu kebigh mudah mengerahkan kemampuannya, mengeluarkan potensi yang terpendam dari dirinya, meledakkan sumber kebaikan dari nuraninya dan menyebarkan kebaikan itu pada semua yang ditemuinya.

Ibu abbas mengetahui hakikat ini dan pernah membaitkan kalimah-kalimah ini: ‘

    Sesungguhnya kebaikan itu memiliki cahaya dalam hati, perhiasan pada wajah, kekuatan pada tubuh, keluasan dalam rezeki dan kecintaan di hati makhluk. Sesungguhnya keburukan itu adalah kegelapan dalam hati, kemuraman wajah, kelemahan fizikal, kekurangan rezeki dan kebencian pada hati makhluk.

Kita akan kehilangan semangat dan kekuatan ketika melakukan maksiat. Perasaan berdosa itu sendiri menjadikannya terus lumpuh dari melakukan pelbagai tugasan dan tanggungjawabnya yang sepatutnya dia laksanakan.

Ketika itulah, terbuka ruang besar bagi syaitan menguasai jiwanya. Lalu, ia terus terjerobos dalam kelalaian dan kelemahan, lalu luputlah waktunya tanpa manfaat apa-apa.

Di sudut lain, keikhlasan dan taubat pada Allah membuka pintu-pintu kebaikan, dan memudahkan segala kesulitan dan menjadi seseorang mampu memenuhi segala keperluannya.

    ‘ Bertaqwalah kepada Allah, nescaya Allah akan mengajarkan ilmu buat kalian’ ( 2:282)

    ‘ Barangsiapa bertaqwa kepada Allah, nescaya Allah akan menjadikan urusannya mudah’ ( Talaq: 4)

    ‘ Barangsiapa bertaqwa kepada Allah, Dia akan memberikannya jalan keluar dan memberinya rezeki dari arah yang dia tak sangka-sangka ( talaq: 2-3)

    ‘ Mohonlah ampun pada Tuhanmu, sesungguhnya Dialah Maha Pengampun. Nescaya Dia akan kirimkan hujan kepadamu dengan lebat, membanyakkan harta dan anak-anakmu , dan mengadakan untukmu kebun-kebuh dan juga sungai-sungai. ( Nuh: 10-13)



Yakinlah, SEMUA masalah boleh diselesaikan dengan taubat dan kembali keapda Allah. Itulah tempat perlindungan, itulah jawapan kepada setiap permasalahan.

Ternyata, banyak kejayaan, mahupun bakat serta potensi terkubur di tangan kita sendiri akibat dosa yang kita lakukan. Taubat mampu meledakkan kemampuan yang terkandung dalam jiwa ini, serta merupakan awal keberangkatan menuju ufuk kemajuan dan kebesaran.

Sinar cahaya itu ada, dan kita temui jawapannya itu pada sebuah kalimah; itulah dia TAUBAT.

Sayangku, moga kau mampu menggapai kejayaan itu iAllah.

To mama: (please read this when i'm not around, for I'm sure you'll be mad at me after you read this).

I went to the blue mosque again last Wednesday. The time when i told you I want to eat that particular big O-Jelly from the Q-store. I take a quick peek inside the mosque since I was curious what's inside it that always makes you hate me so much for going there.

I met this old thin man with a very long white beard inside. I ask him: "is there any chance for me to see your God today since ours is only available on Sunday? He asks me back: "why would I need to see Him?". Then I told him, I want some help from his God to help you. (please don't be mad at me). I told him that you're always angry at God for making your life and mine difficult, and you never actually believe in Him in the first place. The old man said that you can't be angry with God if you don't believe in Him in the first place. He also told me that God is actually always there with us every step of the way, listen to and knows what's already in our heart. If only we can open up our heart, talks to Him, and confine in Him, then and only then can we feel the inner peace that we so wanted to. We should have faith in Him, and embrace Him in our life. He- the One and Only, the Ruler of the universe and the Almighty.

I don't know why, but what he said kinda stuck in my head. I saw him reading some book. I'll ask him if I could borrow it for a while. And he said ok. He told me that the book is the words of God, his truly ultimate long love letter to His creation, and I can find all sorts of thing in it. He told me to read it slowly, and asks him back if I don't understand anything. I already read some of it. From the back coz it's shorter, and in translations since I cannot understand the Arabic.

I loved this one short story because somehow I can feel it's relating to me:

"In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

By the glorious morning light
And by the night when it is still

Oh, how I wish for you to read this book too! It might help you cool off a bit. I hate to see you so angry all the time. Please find it in your heart to forgive daddy for leaving us. I believe that God has something else good stored for us. If not in this life, maybe in the hereafter. I just want you to feel the same thing like I do when i read this book. I've started to talk to Him too. The old man said: it's called Du'a. He told me that a muslim prays to God 5 times per day, and after that you can ask all those thing that you want from Him, although in reality, you can actually talk to Him anytime you want to. Isn't that great? He's there 24-7 for us!!!

ps: please please please don't get mad at me. Like you always said- I want the best things for you. (actually I want you to have THE BEST THINGS IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!).

Making the Ramadan Spirit Last

Ramadan serves as a training for the entire year.

It rejuvenates our souls and leaves us with powerful lessons that must be heeded and acted upon.

If we do this, the Ramadan spirit will last with us throughout the year until the next Ramadan when we can again grow, this time past our last spiritual growth, 11 months ago.

I encourage you all to sit down and think to yourself

‘what did I learn this Ramadan about myself and about taqwa that can be implemented throughout the year to keep me from experience a downfall post-Ramadan.’

The Phatos of Falling For Someone You Could Never Be With

It all started very strangely. How I met him, how I knew him, it was all because of my beliefs in fate. This guy, he has always been a burden to my mind. Sometimes, I see him as the biggest ‘ujian’ Allah has given to me. A sense of regret of knowing him surfaces every now and then but come to think of it, he had made a vast difference in my history of life.

It was him who taught me to be more ‘grown-up’ than I was before. It was him who had shaped me into someone I’ve never thought of being. It was him who moulded me into someone who is brave enough to pretend and lie to herself. It was him who made me believe in the concept of ‘love’.

After two semesters I lived in the bane of being uncertain, I thought it was time to set the wheels on motion when he’s gone to the furthest place I’d never want to know. But little I know how Allah has the control over everything. The guy is actually very near-at-hand which is the most startling situation I have never thought of. And I just hate to know that I somehow have not gotten rid of him entirely yet, like what I should have done a little bit earlier. I keep on hearing his name being said and I keep on seeing him in my mind. AND I REALLY HATE THAT.

I have had enough. I know I’m sick but what else can I do? It was all planned at God’s whim and I by no means would ever resent it because I know His plans are always the best no matter what. But I really want things to be over. I want to get out of the way and let other people replace my role and let them feel how suffering it was to be in that position.

I just need to see him as a complete stranger, then I won’t be feeling it again like what I had undergone before. Perhaps I’m just making things more complicated or maybe I’m overreacting or maybe I’m just too ego to accept everything. Or perhaps it’s just plain simple that I make a big deal of it. Or maybe.. It’s just ME WHO ARE MAD AND UNWISE <-- I think this is more likely. Ha ha ha..

I don’t care where I’m standing on right now.. I just don’t know him anymore. Even though deep down inside, I know that I will NEVER FORGET HIM FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.. *yakin je*

Ramadhan is such a blessed month, a treasure gift from Allah to His slaves. my dad once told me, if you want to do a good thing, do it in Ramadhan. if you want to give someone a present, do it in Ramadhan. if you want to try a new cooking, do it in Ramadhan, where you can share it with others. if you want to call a long lost friend, do it in Ramadhan! Allahu akbar. how every single small deed, Allah appreciates it so much, He wants us to do anything that will bring us closer to Him.

so why wait?

The month of Ramadan is a time when we, despite the struggle, keep ourselves away from that which is otherwise permissible and a necessity in our life. For the past eleven months, at some level we have given preference to our physical self, in terms of nourishment, than our soul. We’ve done things we shouldn’t have, we’ve probably neglected some duties towards Allah that we shouldn’t have. Maybe we haven’t been reciting much of the Qur’an or maybe we’ve been neglecting some of the prayers. This month is a time when Allah commands us to limit our physical nourishment and instead focus on the spiritual in order to give life to our hearts and fix and improve our spiritual state. This is the time to rise up and acknowledge our deficiencies during the past months and resolve to move ahead with the aim to improve our relationship with Allah , with His Book, and with His Messenger

Lets make this Ramadhan the BEST ever! insyaAllah ♥

I miss so many people, it's hard to just mention one.

*I miss those friends who live ten minutes away from me and

I guess we all have those moments. The moment that we wish we could turn back time. Pretend like nothing ever happened and continue our everyday life.*Sigh* but then we come to reality and find out we will never be able to press rewind and we just have to live with our actions from the past. Very often you forget your own mistakes over time, but just when you want to forget something.. it just stays on your mind 24/7 and no matter how hard you try to make it disappear, like a shadow it will follow you with every step you make.

I remembered reading something the other day, I immediately stood up and looked it up;

"Seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your "IF" opens the gate for the Satan." Sahih Muslim Book 33

After reading that I felt guilty, of course Allah wanted that to happen to me, so I could learn from my mistakes and it would make me a stronger Muslim. And instead of thanking Allah for giving me an opportunity to grow I was letting Satan have the time of his life and laugh at me for giving him what he wants! I am going through a test and even though I messed up the first time, I wasn’t planning on doing it again. So I picked myself up, I closed that chapter of my life and turned the page. That moment of change made me the person I am today, so guess who is laughing the last laugh. :)

Dear all Ladies

Please be alert of Public Toilet near to Bandaraya STAR LRT station and Pertama Kompleks. Recently on Friday last week, there was a lady from nearest company to the LRT station, after work she carries her handbag and Laptop went to the public Ladies Toilet near to Bandaraya STAR LRT Station. There is a guy using chloroform and make her go unconscious by using handkerchief and close her nose. Later after one hour she wake up and realize that her handbag and laptop was stolen and she has been raped.
She was bleeding heavily in virginity and complete naked. She screamed for help and few people help her and send to hospital. Now she is in GH Hospital under ICU Coma stage.

This incident just happens last week Friday on 8 July. Please be extra careful and do not use any public toilets around this area.

How, I think, Most Malaysian Youths

History teaches everything, including the future.

Dear friends, let me say a few things regarding my article..

1. I will not mention specific names for each example, as I don’t want this article to be used against these people in the future. More importantly, by not mentioning specific names, it would give me the freedom to make up more stories, lie to all of you, and make this piece seem more interesting.

2. I have been blessed with the opportunities to meet different kinds of people. This ranges from successful overseas students to those who have stopped their education to pursue other things, and to my friends who were average academically but excelled in other things; co-founder of Malaysian Brights to some friends who are yet to finish high school, and many, many more. These people speak a lot about their political beliefs, and share their views on Facebook; some even let people know what’s on their mind via Twitter.

Basically, in my opinion, there are different kinds of youth who choose their political sides based on different factors.

Don’t get me wrong, they are very critical of the mistakes made by the government, or how Machiavelli-like Tun Dr. Mahathir was; nevertheless, they also look at the successful end products, which they are a part of, fortunately for me.

Notwithstanding all this, I trust your wit to figure out the opposite scenario. And this will make up our first group; those with political affiliations already set early on, by the most influential factor in their lives; their parents.

The second group contains the youths whose high schools or colleges have had a strong influence on their political bearings. Don’t get me wrong, this does not mean schools secretly teach people about political affiliations, or teach bad things regarding any political side; it’s just that the school provides the two most important factors for students to cleverly make their own decisions. These two things are networks or connections, and values.

You might argue that these relate more to boarding schools; I have to agree with you on that.

I could go on and on and on, describing every type of friend I have gotten the chance to know well enough to observe their views on politics. But that would take ages.

So please let me conclude this personal view of mine with one last group. In fact, this is the biggest group of youths in Malaysia. These youths do not take any political sides. Some are not aware of political situations; some just could not be bothered to care. They do not think that politics is important and worse, they think that it is so messed up that they don’t want to be even partially involved with it.

So dear seniors, if you really do want us to be involved, or if you want us to cross you on the ballot paper, please help us. Indulge us in your activities; make us a part of your plans, if possible, not only as the passengers. You were once youths like us. There is nothing much I can say other than that.

And to my fellow youth, whether or not you are on my side or the opposite, or just an observer of these two sides, keep doing what you are doing. The Dalai Lama once said, “Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace.” So let’s start with learning, at least, the basis of politics in our nation, and let’s get our friends to do so as well.

Dear fellow youth,

we owe a lot to this country of ours.

The buddies we have made,

the rice we eat,

the rewards we have reaped.

You

can dismiss the call to vote for your ntion as being too ambitious,

a call to vote for your race as being racist,

a call to vote for your state as being too small,

I have only one call left for you.

It seems clichéd but the most honest and undoubted reason

I can ever think of.

My experience with public policy has taught me that reality is often more nuanced that what meets the eye and that the manner in which we frame an issue affects the discourse that surrounds it. A complex world often begets more complex problems failure to understand the nuts and bolts of the issue and communicate them accordingly risk us shooting ourselves on the foot.

Missing the Man I Never Met

Tears pour down, for this Beloved Soul,

The Man who helped those in need,
the Man who, by Allah’s will, guided people away from violence and greed–

He made everyone he met feel worthy of living,
Gave them hope in Allah, the Merciful and Forgiving.
He soothed the souls and cooled the eyes,
He wouldn’t tolerate behavior filled with deceit and hurtful lies.

What would He do today, if He was here with us
to witness the deceit–the lies–the human lives lead by lusts?

I ask Allah to forgive you and me tonight.
May He cause us to be of those who in His cause we fight–
not a fight with swords–guns and other weapons–
the fight of a soul who is preparing to be reckoned.

Sometimes, Allah breaks our spirit to save our soul. He breaks our heart to make us whole. He sends us pain so that we can be stronger. He sends us failure so that we can be stronger. He sends us illness so that we take care of ourselves better. Sometimes, God takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything He gave us ;)
